Ascension- This Way Up (A Collaborative Digest)
The word “Ascension” means a lot of things; the return of the resurrected Christ to heaven, for instance, the rising of a star above the horizon, or the struggle of a student to rise to the head of her class. It’s a word packed with meanings both spiritual and secular, which can inspire people to accomplish feats of greatness they couldn’t imagine.
That’s where you come in. We’re looking for thoughtful, inspiring articles and essays from established life coaches and motivational speakers on the topic of ascension: what it means and how to achieve it. We’ve worked with several motivational speakers and life coaches and know that no two share the same exact philosophy, so the sky is the limit.
Send your submissions of 2,000 – 4,000 words to email@example.com with your name and the title of the submission in the subject. Documents should be attached to an email, and the email should contain a brief cover letter containing information on the author’s work and a link to the author’s website. Please don’t send us anything via snail-mail. Reprints are acceptable, though we’d prefer a piece that hasn’t already received wide exposure. We may be interested in an excerpt from a longer work, as long as the author retains rights.
Please format your submission using a single font – 12 point Courier or Times New Roman work best – with italics and underlines formatted in the text. The first page should contain the author’s contact information, to include email address and phone number, and word count.
By submitting your work, you are confirming that you own the copyright to the material and are granting usage of the work to Crisler Professional Services for one-time English language publication. At this time we cannot offer monetary payment. We envision this project as a platform by which motivational speakers and coaches may find new followers or clients (one coach’s devotee could buy the book to read her piece and fall in love with yours, too!).
Our aim is to respond to all submissions within a month of receipt. If you haven’t received a response in two months, please send a follow-up email. We will accept submissions until the book is filled.
